Discussion of Speaker-Whips fails to reach conclusion

Kathmandu: The discussion between the Speaker and Chief Whip/Whips of major political parties has failed to reach a conlcusion.

The discussion between the ruling party and the opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) failed to reach an agreement in the meeting, called by Speaker Devraj Ghimire on Sunday.

NC has been obstructing the house session demanding the formation of the parliamentary investigation committee to investigate the involvement of Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane in the cooperative fraud scandal. That’s why, NC also obstructed the meeting on Friday.

Speaker Ghimire discussed with the Law Minister and Whips of major political parties to remove obstruction of the house. President Ram Chandra Paudel will be presenting the policies and programs of the government on Tuesday.
