HoR session postponed till Wednesday

Kathmandu: The House of Representatives (HoR) session has been postponed after the disagreement between the ruling and the opposition party regarding the formation of the parliamentary inquiry committee against the involvement of Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane in the Cooperative fraud scandal.

Nepali Congress (NC) took a stand on forming a parliamentary inquiry committee against Lamichhane and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) demanded Home Minister Lamichhane be given a chance to put forward his opinion.

NC continues to obstruct house session

Speaker Devraj Ghimire halted the session for 15 minutes and tried to draw an agreement between two opposing parties. The meeting has been postponed till 11 am on Wednesday.
