NC demands resignation of Home Minister Lamichhane

Kathmandu: The opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) has demanded the resignation of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minsiter Rabi Lamichhane.

Addressing the ongoing parliament on Tuesday, MP Deepak Giri said that NC wanted nothing other than the resignation of Minister Lamichhane. He said that Lamichhane should have been drawan into the investigation.

‘Why was not he arrested? Nothing other than the resignation of Lamichhane is required?’ said Giri.

Along arrest of Deepesh Pun on Friday, MP Giri said that a case was also filed against Home Minister Lamichhane in the District Police Office, Kaski. MP Giri said,’ This is not compatible with the principles of justice. How was a student leader from CPN (Maoists Center) freed?’
