Background of Prasai’s arrested bodyguard Khadka as former Maoist combatant

Kathmandu: Durga Prasai’s bodyguard, who entered the Supreme Court premises with weapons, has been identified as the former Maoist combatant.

Prasai’s bodyguard Deepak Khadka is a resident of Boudha Shanti Rural Municipality- 3, Jhapa. He was one of the Maoist combatants during the insurgency period. Prasai, a controversial medical businessperson, is viral on social media for his statements. His guards have been escorting him and his cars on his daily visits.

Likewise, the identification of Ram Kumar Dhimal has not been disclosed, who was arrested with the Khadka. According to officials they have seized a GSG 5 German Semi-Automatic rifle from them. Even 100 bullets from Khadka.
