NC prepares to obstruct Home Minister from presenting bill in parliament

Kathmandu: The opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) has begun the preparation to obstruct the parliament.

NC began the preparation to obstruct the parliament to prevent Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane from presenting the bill on Friday.

It has been mentioned that the Home Minister will introduce a bill related to political parties in today’s agenda of the House of Representatives.

Likewise, NC said that Lamichhane could not be considered as Home Minister and would not allow him to pass the bill.  Earlier NC Chief Whip Ramesh Lekhak reminded UML and RSP to stop the proceeding of the House of Representatives by saying that persons who are under investigation should not be in minister posts.

NC has been demanding an answer from PM Dahal in Parliament by saying that Home Minister Lamichhane himself is under investigation in the cooperative scam and double passport case.

Similarly, Speaker of Parliament Devraj Ghimire has called Chief Whips to discuss, after the NC prepared to prevent the  Home Minister from presenting the bill in parliament.
