Kathmandu: Pashupati Area Development (PADT) has bid farewell to the saints and sages from Nepal and India.
The saints came from different parts of Nepal and India, to celebrate Mahashivratri. According to PADT, farewell was given to more than 6000 saints and sages on Sunday. PADT bid farewell with a rosary of Rudraksha and Dakshina ranging from 2000 rupees to 9000 depending on the seniority.
There is a customary of PADT and Guthi Sansthan to bid farewell to saints, who come from different countries including India, every year to celebrate Mahashivratri. Saints who come to celebrate Mahashivratri enter the Pashupatinath Temple on Falgun Shukla and exit on the day of Falgun Shukla Aunsi.
Likewise, Guthi Sansthan said that around 2 million (20 lakh) rupees were allocated for Siant’s farewell and their Dakshina.
