Oli: Statement of nation's situation not being changed is false

Kathmandu: CPN(UML) Chairperson and Former Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli has said the statement on the situation of the nation not being changed was false.

Chairperson Oli, coining the comments lacking truth, gave a response to the statement having no truth when the National Prajatantra Party was seeking an alternative to the system. Addressing a program organized by the Moti Devi Smriti Kendra on Saturday, Oli presented the fact that the participation of women representatives was 40 percent and questioned whether there was such a scenario in the past.

Chairperson Oli illustrated the fact that the Constitution of Nepal guarantees 33 percent of women’s participation in the parliament and government sectors. He said that the situation of the public has drastically changed, which cannot be compared to the past.

Similarly, Chairperson Oli said that the full responsibility of making the situation of the public better was on their shoulders. He said that his party would step ahead to guarantee the rights of women like men through women empowerment.
