Kathmandu: The scuffle between police and Rajendra Mahato’s side has taken place after they attempted to break the prohibition area.
The scuffle took place in Bhadrakali after the demonstrators moved ahead to break the prohibition area in Maitigahr on Wednesday.
The rally began from Naxal and reached Bhadrakali via Dillibazar, Putalisadak, and Bagbazar, during the national liberation movement announced under the leadership of Rajendra Mahato. The scuffle took place after the demonstrators tried to move ahead from Bhadrakali.
Likewise, police attempted to stop the demonstrators from moving towards Maitighar, which resulted in a scuffle between leader Mahato and some other demonstrators injured. During the rally, they were sloganeering to maintain a plural state, abolishment of prohibition, and maintain land rights.
District Administration Office Kathmandu had prohibited demonstrations in Maitighar on 21 November (Mangsir 5). Leader Mahato left the democratic socialist party on Monday and announced a campaign called ‘National Liberation Revolution.’
