Police encircle demonstrators in Bhandarkhal Forest (Photo feature)

Kathmandu: District Administration Office, Kathmandu has restricted loan shark victims and microfinance debtors from demonstrating in prohibited areas.

The administration restricted the demonstrators after they entered the Parliament building on Monday.

Police have encircled loan sharks and microfinance victims in the Tourist Bus Park, Gaushala, and Bhandarkhal forest. They have sloganeering out there after police stopped them from coming out.

Police arrest loan shark victims in Parliament building

Police have kept them in tight security after they entered Parliament building. The arrangements for their cooking, eating, sitting, and restrooms have been made in the bus park. Victims have small children and most of them are from the Terai region.

A group of microfinance borrower victims suddenly entered the Parliament building by sloganeering in New Baneshwor on Monday, while a session was going on. The administration even prohibited pedestrians from walking on footpaths that connect the Wall of Parliament and Singha Durbar.
