Police intervene Loan Shark Victims in Bhrikutimandap (Photo feature)

Kathmandu: The loan shark victims have sat down on the main road of Bhrikutimandap.

Police intervened them when they tried to proceed towards the Singha Durbar. They started to demonstrate after the intervention of the police.

The Loan Shark victims reached Kathmandu on the 24^th day of the Mechi Mahakali March. They are in Kathmandu, as the government wasn’t serious about solving their problem. And they formed a ‘Justice March.’ The Loan Shark victims reached Kathmandu on Thursday.

The March started in the Far West region of Nepal on 30 January ( Magh 16). The demonstrators from both directions of the nation met in Chitwan. They integrated and came to Kathmandu.

The victims have come to Kathmandu with several demands. Legislation regarding those who are involved in financial crimes related to loan shark to be under strict legal action, formation of a competent judicial commission, filling up a new application for documentation of victims, arrest of Sahu Maharjan in front of victims, investigation upon Kapali Tamuk at local level, investigation of cases related to human rights violation against victims, providing relief and compensation to the victim’s family along with arrangement of concessional loans for the victims are some of their demands.
