Sitapaila case update: Husband murders wife, daughter and granddaughter and commits suicide

Kathmandu:  Police have said that 3 members of the same family had been murdered.

Earlier three members were found dead in Sitapaila, Kathmandu. Ishwari Shrestha (38 years), her daughter Anisha Shrestha (8), and granddaughter Shiwani Shrestha (2 and half years old) were murdered. They were resident of  Dudhkunda Municipality -10, Solukhumbu, and were currently residing at the rental house of Badri Chapagain in Nagarjun Municipality- 6, Bhairab Tol.

According to the Police, Raju after murdering his wife, daughter, and granddaughter, phoned his father–in–law and said, ‘I murdered your daughter and child, now I am also going to die.’  Through preliminary investigation, police found him hanging dead in Nagarjuna’s forest.

Likewise, the Police said that the case is under investigation, though it was a suicide after the murder. A team of Kathmandu District Police and Kathmandu Valley Crime Division are investigating the case.
