Nepal defeats Netherlands by 9 wickets

Kathmandu: The national cricket team of Nepal has defeated the Netherlands in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2.

Nepal defeated the Netherlands by 9 wickets at T.U. International Cricket Stadium on Saturday. Nepal completed the target of 138 runs in 15.2 overs with a loss of 1 wicket.

Aasif Sheikh and Anil Sah completed their half-centuries for the victory of Nepal. Anil scored 57 runs out of 36 balls hitting 6 boundaries and 4 sixes. Aasif scored 54 out of 45 balls by smashing 8 boundaries and 1 six. Kushal Bhurtel contributed 28 runs for the team. Vivian Kingma took 1 wicket for the Netherlands.

In the first innings, Netherlands was packed up in 39 overs and scored 137 runs. Captain Scott Edwards contributed 33 and Bas de Leede 27 runs for the team. Kushal Bhurtel took 4 wickets for Nepal. Lalit Rajbanshi took 2 and Captain Rohit Kumar Paudel took 1 wicket for the team.
