Complaint against ANFA General Secretary Rai in CIAA

Kathmandu: A complaint has been filed against Kiran Rai, All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) General Secretary, in the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA).

Sita Pariyar filed a complaint against Rai in a case of alleged corruption in CIAA on Friday. It was mentioned in a letter that Rai had taken 25 lakh rupees time and again.

Rai has been accused of taking 5 lakh rupees on 23rd June 2023 at 2: 20 p.m. in the Old House, Durbarmarg, 10 lakhs from Hot Bread Restaurant on July 2, 2023, Old Baneshowor,  and 10 lakh rupees from Rato Bahle from 20 -25 September, Baneshwor.

ANFA and Sherpa Out Door Sports Goods Industries Pvt. Ltd (KTM City) had signed an agreement to supply the necessary sports materials required to ANFA.

According to a KTM City source, Rai misused his position and used many excuses to negotiate, bargain, and demand money from KTM City time and again. The letter claims that Rai was asking for money from KTM City luring them to give the contract to the company.
