Nepal lost match against Malaysia by 4 wickets

Kathmandu: Nepal has lost the semi-final match against Malaysia in the ACC Women’s Premier Cup.

Nepal lost the match against Malaysia by 4 wickets. With this, host Malaysia has qualified team for the Asia Cup.

Malaysia chased the target of 116 in 20 overs with loss of 6 wickets. Elsa Hunter was unbeaten at 69 runs for the victory of Malaysia.

In the first innings, Nepal won the toss and elected to bat first, where they were packed up in 20 overs by scoring  115 runs with a loss of 6 wickets.

Captain Indu Barma contributed 29 runs for the team, Kabita Kunwar scored 23 Rubina Cheetri scored 20 runs and Dolly Bhatta 25 runs for Nepal. Mahirah Izzati Ismail took 2 wickets for Malaysia.

Likewise, Nepal’s defeat against Malaysia has ended the hopes of qualifying for the Asia Cup, whereas Malaysia and UAE qualified for the Asia Cup.

Malaysia and UAE will play their final match on Sunday.
