Police arrest boyfriend in charge of murdering his girlfriend

Kathmandu: Police have arrested Kumar Shrestha and made him public in charge of murdering his girlfriend Pramila Damai in Gaushala-based, Siraha- Dhanusha Hotel and Lodge.

Police arrested boyfriend Kumar for murdering his girlfriend Pramila (aged around 30 years old) in hotel room no 108. Damai was a resident of Ramechhap, Tamakoshi, and was currently living in Kathmandu, whereas Shrestha is from Dolakha.

Kumar had booked a room with the wrong details. As  Kathmandu Police Chief SSP Bhupendra Khatri said’  In hotel entry, The name of Sandeep Lama and someone else mobile number was mentioned, after investigating from a different angle the deceased was discovered, along with the murderer,’

Both Kumar and  Pramila stayed in a hotel on Friday. But, The hotelier informed the Police after the hotel room hadn’t opened for 2 days, when they broke the door they found the dead body of Pramila, where she was strangled to death with a rope around her neck.

According to the Police, Pramila was living with her husband in Gaushala, she came with  Kumar to a lodge on 9 February (Magh 26), where she was murdered by Kumar, after the murder he padlocked the room and absconded. Both Pramila and Kumar have an extramarital relationship with each other.

‘In Dolakha, there was a program called ‘My Friend ‘ on Radio Himali, where we could make a call and give our name and number,  I got to know Pramila even more after listening to a program,  and after that, we came closer.’ was the statement given by Kumar said SSP Kharti.
