Martyrs’ Day Celebration in Lainchaur (Photo Feature)

Kathmandu: People have been celebrating Martyrs’ Day by organizing various programs.

Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) organized a memorial meeting at the Martyrs’ Memorial in Lainchaur on Tuesday.

KMC, on the last day of the week-long celebration, concluded the program by organizing the memorial meeting in Lainchaur.  KMC organized a morning rally ‘Prabhat Feri’ from Shanti Bhatika at 8:00 a.m. Then rally concluded through a memorial meeting in Lainchaur.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’ Prachanda’, Deputy and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Minister of Foreign Affairs Narayan Prasad Saud, Minister of Land, Law and Poverty Alleviation Ranjita Shrestha, and other officials were also present at the memorial meeting.

Likewise, PM Dahal, while remembering Martyrs urged to resolve and complete the rest of the tasks of the revolution. He requested everyone to be active with mind, word, and deed to fulfill the dreams of the Martyrs.

On the first day of the celebration week, KMC organized a program at Teku Machali on 24th January (Magh 10), where Martyr Shukraraj Shastri suffered from martyrdom.

Similarly, KMC organized the memorial meeting and offered garlands to the statue of Marty Dharma Bhakta Matema in Sifal on 27 January( Magh 13). KMC has been organizing Martyr’s program since 2012 Bikram Sambat.
