Minister Shrestha holds discussion with 7 provinces Ministers of Internal Affairs and Law

Kathmandu: Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha has discussed with Ministers of Internal Affairs and Law of all 7 provinces.

Home Minister Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai said that police adjustment, peace and security of the country, and other issues were discussed.

‘The Federal Ministry of Home Affairs and relevant ministries of provinces decided to cooperate in strengthening the state of peace and security in the country. There was also a discussion relating to the police adjustment,’ said Bhattarai.

Likewise, Spokesperson Bhattarai said that the meeting was held, under the chairmanship of the Home Minister, as per section 22 of the Union, State, and Local Level (Coordination and Interconnection) Act 2077 and decided to proceed with the police adjustment as soon as possible.

Bagmati Province Minister of Internal Affairs and Law Ganga Narayan Shrestha said that PM Dahal will proceed with the police adjustment work in the upcoming meeting of the National Coordination Committee on 31 January ( Magh 16, 2080).

‘The upcoming National Coordination Committee, chaired by PM Dahal will advance the work of police adjustment on 31 January( Magh 16 2080), ‘said Minister Shrestha.

Shrestha said that the province government was searching for constitutional rights.  He said that they repeatedly drew the attention of the federal government to conclude the process of the police adjustment.
