Kathmandu: CPN(UML) Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has demanded a detailed report on the use of acid must be made at the government level.
Chairperson Oli said those statements while addressing a press conference, organized by a team of the movie ‘Nametiney Ghau’ on Sunday. The movie is based on the real-life experience of the acid attack survivor Muskan Khatun.
‘Acid is not like a vegetable. It is not easily accessible in shops. It cannot be compared with the vegetables. Acid is not like a matter which can be decomposed or decayed. Who bought it from the Shop? For what purpose it was used? When was it used? The administration must submit a detailed report answering all these questions,’ said Oli.
Reminiscing the acid attack incident of Muskan Khatun, Oli said that he took the possible measures as the Prime Minister during that time. ‘The laws were never made so soon. However, when I was the PM, the law was made quickly. The culprit was punished and the victims received justice,’ said Oli
