Madhesh Education Minister Yadav suffers head injury in baton-charged demonstration

Janakpurdham: Minister of Education and Culture Mahesh Pradesh Yadav has been injured during a protest in Saptari.

Minister Yadav suffered a head injury when the police charged batons at demonstrators in Bishaharia, Rajbiraj -13. Minister Yadav was demonstrating against the decision to invite JSP Chairperson Upendra Yadav as the chief guest for the foundation stone-laying ceremony at Madhesh Agriculture University.

Janmant party has been opposing the foundation program. Even the attention was not given to the Education Minister while organizing the program.

Likewise, locals and cadres of Janmat had padlocked the Agriculture University on Sunday, for carrying out various activities in violation of laws and regulations and for widespread irregularities and corruption.

Minister Yadav drew attention, through a press release on Sunday, mentioning that the vice chancellor and registrar would be responsible for any unwanted incident which may arise from force during laying the foundation stone.

Similarly, Minister Yadav said that he was not informed about the program despite being the chairperson of the University Senate.
