Boxer Neeta Gosain found dead in her residence

Kathmandu: Police have found boxer Neeta Gosain dead, just before one month of her wedding. Police found Gosai dead on the roof of her 3-story residence in Bhaktapur at 8 pm on Tuesday.

Neeta (27 years old) was recruited into the Armed Police Force (APF) for 6 years. She was playing domestic games representing the APF club. But waiting for her international debut.

Neeta bagged a silver medal in the under 54 kg category in the 9th National Games, which was her first achievement in life.

Police said that Neeta hanged herself in the bar of the metal roof. According to a family source, Neeta was getting married on 14 February( Falgun 2). Police said that the initial investigation indicated Neeta committing suicide. It has been assumed that due to the excessive stress caused by her ex-boyfriend caused Neeta to commit suicide.

Likewise, her family has filed a complaint against her ex-boyfriend for inciting Neeta’s suicide. It has been claimed in the complaint that the young man was torturing Neeta.

Police arrested the youth. There are different opinions regarding the relationship between Neeta and the young man. Some people said that the young man was just a friend of Neeta, Some said they were in long relationship.
