Army defeats Madhesh by 126 runs

Kathmandu: Tribhuvan Army Club has defeated Madhesh Province in the PM Cup National Cricket Tournament.

Army defeated Madhesh by a huge margin of 126 runs in T.U. International Cricket Stadium. Madhesh failed to chase the challenging target of 321 runs set by the Army. Madhesh was packed up in 48.4 runs scoring only 194 runs.

Pawan Sarraf scored 65 runs for Madhesh, but could not prevent the defeat. Mayan Yadav scored 34 and Rajesh Yadav scored 32 runs for the team. Shahab Alam took 4 and Sompal Kami took 2 wickets for the Army. Jitendra Mukhiya and Kushal Malla took 1 wicket each for the team.

In the first innings, Army scored 320 runs. Captain Binod Bhadari scored a century for the team. He scored 113 runs hitting 9 boundaries and 6 sixes in 93 balls. Santosh Karki scored 42 and Kushal Malla 37 runs.

Ranjit Kumar took 5 wickets for Madhesh. Bishal Patel took 2, and Rupesh Sigh and Rajesh Yadav took 1 wicket each.

Likewise, APF defeated Koshi Province by 6 wickets at Mulpani Cricket Ground. And Sudurpaschim Province was victorious over Lumbini Province by 5 wickets in Siddharthanagar Cricket Ground.
