Kathmandu: Karnali Province and APF have bagged victory in the PM Cup National Cricket tournament.
The Karnali team defeated the Gandaki by 7 wickets at Siddhartha Cricket Ground on Sunday. Karnali chased the target of 123 runs in 33.2 overs with the loss of 3 wickets.
Himanshu scored 53 runs in 71 balls for Karnali. He smashed 5 boundaries and hit 2 sixes. Nischal Rawal was not out in 29 runs. Ankit Neupane took 2 and Bipin Khatri 1 wicket for Gandaki.
In the first innings, Gandaki scored 122 runs in 45 overs by losing 9 wickets. Kamal Pariyar and Amrit Gurung scored 21 runs each for Gandaki. Anuj Chanara, Dinesh Adhikari, and Diendra Rawat took 2-2 wickets.
Similarly, APF defeated Bagmati Province by 89 runs in T.U. International Cricket Stadium. Bagmati was unable to chase the target of 242 runs.
The Bagmati team was all out in 42.5 overs. Captain Rit Gautam scored 60 and Ashutosh Ghiraiya scored 49 runs for Gandaki. Rohit Paudel took 4 wickets, Mausam Dhakal as well as Abinash Bohora took 2 wickets each and Bhuwan Karki as well as Puran B.K. took 1 wicket each for APF.
In the first innings, APF scored 241 runs in 50 overs by losing 9 wickets. Sandeep Jora scored a century for APF. He scored 112 runs out of 117 balls by hitting 7 boundaries and 5 sixes.
Surya Tamang took 3, Rijan Dhakal and Pratish G.C. took 2 wickets each and Sonu Devkota took 1 wicket for Bagmati.
