Kathmandu: Police will be presenting Ram Bahadur Bamjan in Sarlahi’s District Court today. Centre Investigation Bureau (CIB) took Bamjan to Sarlahi District Police Station, Malangwa on Wednesday night.
Although preparation was made to take Bamjan by aircraft, due to the bad weather in Janakpur, CIB took him by car to Police Station, Sarlahi. According to Sarlahi’s Police Chief Superintendent Police (SP) Prabin Dhital, Bamjan has been kept in custody with other prisoners.
Bamjan was taken to Sarlahi due to a pending rape case in Sarlahi District Court. Similarly, Registrar Sadan Adhikari said that an arrest warrant had been issued against Bamjan in the case of ‘Sexual gratification and Child Sexual Exploitation.’
An arrest warrant was issued against Bamjan on 6 February, 2020 ( Magh 23, 2076).
