CIB: Further investigation will be carried in confiscated cash from Bamjan

Kathmandu: Police have reported Ram Bahadur Bamjan not meditating in recent times.

Police said that Bamjan has been staying in the Budhanilkantha’s residence. He was staying along with his family in Budhanilkantha.

CIB said that Bamjan was not meditating in his residence.  CIB official said, ‘There was neither the scenario nor any materials to meditate in his residence. He was staying in the residence for more than two months. This shows him of not meditating.’

According to police, Bamjan tried to abscond while police went to arrest him. Police arrested Bamjan from his residence in Buddhanilknatha on Tuesday evening.

Police confiscated more than 30 million (3 crores) 3 lakh and 75 thousand Nepali rupees and currencies of 17 different countries. Similarly, today’s Foreign exchange rate is 30 lakh 92 thousand and 4 hundred 6 rupees. CIB will investigate the confiscated cash.

CIB said that the amount of cash in the house was not normal. The CIB will investigate the sources of the cash.
