Police arrest Health Post in charge of caste discrimination upon ANM

Birendranagar:  Mugu District Police have arrested the health post in charge of caste discrimination against ANM Tulasa Bishwokarma.

Mugu District Police said that they arrested the health post in charge Suraj Kumar Shahi for discriminating against ANM Bishwokarma. Bishwokarma has been working, in Khanaya Health Post of Saru Rural Municipality – 9, as ANM.

According to Mugu’s Inspector and Information Officer Prakash Singh Karki, Police arrested Suraj’s mother Jhapu Shahi, and Dhan Prasad Bhatta from Saru Rural Municipality – 6  in case of caste discrimination on Saturday. The Court has extended 7 days for further investigation in the case.

Bishwokarma had filed a complaint against 3 people, mentioned as being a victim of caste discrimination, in the District Police Station. Bishwokarma, a resident of Tulsipur, Dang, has been staying in rent in Suraj’s house for 11 months.
