Expansion of cabinet in Lumbini Province

Kathmandu: Lumbini’s Chief Minister Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary has started his preparation to expand his cabinet, which resulted in debate in the Lumbini Nepali Congress Party.

Chief Minister Chaudhary began his preparation to keep a 1 -1 leader from the Nepali Congress Party and CPN(Maoist Party). This has increased the dispute between the two factions in the Nepali Congress as both want their members to the Ministers.

Dr. Shekhar-Gagan’s faction is preparing to propose Bishwa Prem Pathak of Nawalprasai as a minister and the NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba has prepared to suggest Saroj Thapa “Roj Rana” for the post.

Dr. Shekhar-Gagan’s faction warned to revolt like Koshi if their side was not addressed in the cabinet. From the CPN(Maoist) Party, Krishna KC of Banke is likely to become Minister of Water Supply and Rural and Urban Development.

Earlier Dr. Shekhar-Gagan’s faction had already appointed their member as the Koshi’s Chief Minister. Three ministries are vacant in Lumbini.
