5 dies, 9 injured in Rukum’s tractor accident

Kathmandu: A tractor accident has resulted in the death of  5 people and injury of 9  people in a tractor accident in Aathbiskot, Rukum West.

According to police, Tractor no Ra 1 Ta 14 met an accident while trying to turn it into a roundabout which was heading to Ghartigaon from Pirikot. The tractor was carrying roof sheets for the earthquake victims.

Lok Bahadur Shah(46 years old) from Aathbiskot-10 and his wife Luki Shah( 42), Vardar Sharki ( 52) of the same ward,  Dhanram Sharki (48) and  Nirmala Sharki (47)  from Sarkidada died in a tractor accident that took place last night ( Wednesday) around 10:00 pm.

Similarly, Dal Bahadur Pun (14) , Rama Gurung (34), Jaya Bahadur Gharti(36) , Khadak Bahadur Pun(41). Likewise, Madan Pun(42), Jagbir Sarki( 51), Kumar Gharti(56) and Mane Sarki( 58) treatment is going on .

Police said that they were searching for truck driver Gopal BK (21) who had escaped from the accident scene.
