Kathmandu: Chief of the Army Staff (CoAS) Prabhu Ram Sharma has counter-questioned the MPs regarding the slow development of the Kathmandu-Terai Fast Track project.
Members of Parliaments (MPs) raised questions about the unexpected slow progress in the construction of Kathmandu-Terai (Fast Track) in the meeting of State Order and Good Governance on Wednesday. CoAS Sharma asked a question in the reply.
CoAS Sharma said, ‘It takes nine months to chop down 4 trees. How can we complete the work fast?Provide us with the rules. We are still not able to chop down the trees, which I had shown to the Prime Minister and Defense Minister.’ He said that the repetitive obstruction during the work was also one of the reasons behind the slow development.
‘We have neither found the land nor the trees to cut down. We have studied the social and cultural aspects of Khokana and to halt it in Dukuchhap. The work is going in less than 12 billion,’ said Sharma. He said that even the political complaints used to affect the work.
