Madhesh Govt. warns PM Dahal after completion of 30 days of ultimatum

Kathmandu: A team of Madhesh Province has warned Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ to begin the struggle for implementation of the federal civil service law.

The team, along with Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav, reached PM Resident, Baluwatar on Sunday morning. They went to meet PM Dahal just after the completion of 30 days of ultimatum given by the Madhesh government.

Madhesh Province complained that no activities were initiated regarding adjusting the Civil Service Act and the province police.

PM Dahal said that the government was seriously moving ahead towards the federal law. He said that he, along with Maoists (Centre), were the reasons for the birth of federalism.

Similarly, PM Dahal requested the team to initiate the process for fully implementing federalism from the party level and create pressure. One of the leaders present in the meeting said that PM Dahal requested to postpone the struggle and support him for a joint initiative for the implementation.

The team had addressed the federal government to smoothen the construction of the federal laws as mentioned in the constitution. They had demanded to conduct a Kathmandu-centric protest if their demands were not addressed while giving the ultimatum.
