Finance Committee directs government to give opinion regarding within 48 hours

Kathmandu: The finance committee of the House of Representatives has directed the government to provide its opinion regarding the Telecommunications service provider company Ncell share transactions within 48 hours.

Chairperson Rishikesh Pokharel said that the committee directed the government to complete the investigation of the case within 30 days and take necessary actions.

The committee decided to call the Prime Minister and seek an explanation in the upcoming meeting of the committee. It directed the government to find loopholes in the existing legal system that was targeted during the Ncell share transaction.

Similarly, the committee directed the government to present the bill to clear the unclear portion of the law and amend it in the upcoming parliamentary meeting.

The committee directed the government after discussing with the Office of the Registrar Company and the Telecommunications Authority regarding the case.
