Governor Adhikari: Country’s economic condition improving

Kathmandu: Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari has commented about the latest economic situation of the country.

Governor Adhikari gave the latest economic situation during the meeting of Accounting Committee on Wednesday. He said that the consumer price increment of the fiscal year 2079-80 Asoj is 7.5%, which is 1% less compared to the Asoj 2079.

The import, which was decreasing continously, but it hiked to 1.5 % in Asoj, 2080 and decreased by 3.8 % in Kartik. The trade deicit was seen 3.3% and the remittance flow increased by 30% till October 2080.

Compared to last year saving conversions have been maintained at 99 billion rupees till Asoj 2080.

However 80 million rupees of foreign investment was recorded Aso, 2079.  3 billion 380 million rupees was recorded in current fiscal year.
