TikTok hearing case in “Unseen list”

Kathmandu: The hearing case of writ petitions against the government’s decision to ban TikTok couldn’t be concluded today.

The joint bench of Judges Susmalata Mathema and Binod Sharma kept the writ petitions in an ” unseen list.”

The single bench of Judge Binod Sharma held a preliminary hearing on 21 November (Mangsir 5). Sharma ordered the government to show a reason within 10 days in today’s hearing.

The court asked for a written response on  1 December (Mangsir 15) by ordering a  fixed date for hearing the case on 5 December (Mangsir 19).

Senior Advocate Dinesh Tripathi and others filed 14 separate writ petitions in the Supreme Court. The government banned TikTok due to social harmony disturbance on 13 November(Kartik -7).
