Oli: Govt. being protector of crime

Surkhet: CPN(UML) Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has commented on the functioning of the government. He accused the government of being the protector of the crime.

Chairperson Oli said that the government started to withdraw the cases of accused murderers. He said that the writ against the murderer was being withdrawn with the government being the shield of the criminals.

Chairperson Oli, while addressing one of the programs of the Resolution March in Panchadewal Binayak Municipality, talked about the activities of the government. He even declared the Binod Shahi, who died during the local elections, the martyr.

On 30^th Baisakh, 2079 B.S., the cadres of Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) had a conflict in Panchadewal Binayak Municipality. Another fight occurred on 17^th Jestha. Binod became contactless from that day. His dead body was found in a nearby forest from his house on 21^st Jestha.

It was accused that Nepali Congress cadres killed Binod as he was close to CPN(UML). Few accused murderers are still in prison in that case.

Police even arrested Mayor Ambika Chalaune, during the investigation of the case. District Public Prosecutor’s Office Achham said that Mayor Chalaune was released due to a lack of evidence.
