Patan High Court orders to keep Deputy Prime Minister Top Bahadur in custody but release his son

Kathmandu: The Patan High Court has decided not to release Former Deputy Prime Minister Top Bahadur Rayamajhi in the fake Bhutanese refugee scandal.

The Court has decided to release his son Sandeep on bail of 30 lakh rupees and keep Rayamajhi in custody. The hearing on Friday gave the verdict.

The joint bench of Judges Prakash Kharel and Janak Panday decided to keep a few accused in custody and a few to be released on bail.

The court supported the decision of the Kathmandu District Court to keep 8 accused including Rayamajhi, Indrajit Rai, Keshav Dulal, and Ang Tawa Sherpa.
