Writ petition in Supreme Court against government’s decision to ban TikTok

Kathmandu: Advocates have filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court against the decision of the government to ban TikTok.
Advocates Sunil Ranjan Singh and Sarita Thapa have filed the writ. Even Dinesh Tripathi has filed a writ against the decision.
The writ demands to revise the decision of the Council of Ministers to ban TikTok. The writs claim that the decision didn’t follow the protocols like constitutional democracy, civil rights, and liberties dictated by the rule of law.
Council of Ministers meeting on November 13( Karthik 27) decided to ban TikTok.
