Police arrest husband in charge of wife’s murder

Kathmandu: Police have arrested a man for murdering his wife.

Police have arrested husband Sher Bahadur Bhandari for murdering his wife Urmila Bista Bhandari(40 years old) of Lachimana, Mangalsen Municipality -3.

According to Achham Deputy Superintendent Police Santosh Pathak, police arrested Sher Bahadur after Urmila’s family filed a complaint against him on Tuesday.

DSP Pathak said, ‘Urmila had sustained injuries in her body including in her head.  The initial investigation reveals physical assault as the reason behind Urmila’s death.’ He said that Sher Bahadur was in a drunken state.

Likewise, DSP Pathak said, ‘The investigation is going on. The post-mortem report would be helpful to conduct further investigation.’ Culprit Sher Bahadur recently retired from the Nepal Police.
