Karnali province government provides 2 crore to earthquake victims

Karnali: The Karnali province government has handed over 2 crore 45 lakh rupees to 16 local levels of Jagarkot, Rukum West, and Salyan’s earthquake victims.

According to Karnali Provincial government Spokesperson and Minister of Internal Affairs and Law Krishna Bahadur G.C., the government has provided 25 lakhs each to Jajarkot’s Bheri and Nalgad Municipality as well as Barekot Rural Municipality, 20 Lakh to Kushe municipality, 10 lakhs each to Chedagad and Junichande municipality and 5 lakhs to Shivalaya Rural Municipality.

Likewise 25 lakhs each to Aathbiskot Municipality and Sanibheri Municipality, 20 lakh each to Chaurjahari Municipality and Triveni Rural Municipality, 10 lakh to Musikot Municipality, and 5 lakh to Banfikot Rural Municipality of Rukum West.

Spokesperson G.C. said that 15 lakhs will be provided to Darmawan Rural Municipality of Salyan and 5 lakhs each to Bagchaur and Bangad Kupinde Municipality.

He said that the fund was allocated to the local level of Jajarkot, Rukum West, and Salyan to purchase relief materials, distribution, and rescue purposes.

The epicenter of the devastating earthquake of 6.4 magnitude hit Ramidanda, Barikot Rural Municipality of Jajarkot. The earthquake on November 3rd (Karthik 17 ) at 11:47 midnight created a huge financial loss in the area.
