Meeting between major parties regarding TRC bill

Kathmandu: A discussion has taken place between heads of three major parties including Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ in Baluwatar.

PM Dahal is trying to conclude the case relating to transitional justice as soon as possible. But, CPN(UML) Chairperson Oli claimed that the case relating to transitional justice was in limbo due to PM Dahal himself.

On UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres’s official visit to Nepal, he requested the heads of the major parties to conclude the Peace Agreement as soon as possible. Guterres said that the remaining work of the peace agreement must be concluded by keeping the victims in the center while addressing the Federal Parliament on Tuesday,

The major parties have been discussing making the bills regarding the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) and Transitional Justice (TJ) fair and favorable for a long time.
