More than 7 lakh people depart from Kathmandu, number to reach 12 lakh by Saturday evening

Kathmandu: More than 7 lakh people have departed from Kathmandu. About 2 lakh people left Kathmandu on Wednesday and Thursday.
It has been predicted that the number will double on Friday and Saturday. There are chances that the numbers will reach 12 lakh by Saturday evening.
With the increase of people going home, the checkpoints are busy. According to the Kathmandu Traffic Police Office, 98 thousand passengers left Kathmandu on Wednesday. The number crossed one lakh on Thursday.
About 9 lakh passengers left Kathmandu last year as per the data of traffic police. The number exceeds this year.
