Kathmandu changing its appearance (Photo Feature)

Kathmandu: Kathmandu is known as the city of thousands of temples. Culture, tradition, and architecture are some of its attractions.  The city even used to be remembered as a healthy climate condition in the past.

But, the haphazard urbanization of Kathmandu has changed its appearance. Now, people have a different perception regarding Kathmandu nowadays.

Dusty, smoky, and muddy roads have become common words that pop into my mind while remembering Kathmandu. That’s the condition of the road. Anyone can experience the effect of smoke, ditches, and dust in the streets of Kathmandu.

While remembering Kathmandu, people visualize traffic jams, lack of pedestrian-friendly footpaths, and other hassles. During the morning walk, there is neither fresh air nor a place to wander in the evening nor open space for children to enjoy.

All these factors automatically make people tired even before reaching the office. But, the scenario of Kathmandu is slowly shifting. The cleaning of rivers, efforts to make the footpaths more managed, under-construction parks, etc. are increasing the attraction of Kathmandu
