Demonstration of Woman Rights Activists demanding Regal’s re-imprisonment

Kathmandu: Woman Rights Activists have demonstrated demanding the re-imprisonment of Yograj Dhakal “Regal.” The government had given amnesty to Dhakal on the occasion of  Constitution Day.

The activist demanded to take back the amnesty of Regal and put him back to prison. Deceased Chetan Manandhar’s widow wife Bharati Sherpa is on hunger strike opposing the amnesty given to Dhakal.

Dhakal was convicted of murdering Chetan with a  Khudha at Nepalgunj market. Dhakal was sentenced to life imprisonment. But the government provided him amnesty on the occasion of Constitution Day.

Regel was convicted of murdering  Chetan on 13^th July 2015 A.D. (28^th Asar,2072 B.S.). The Supreme Court has already issued a  show cause order in the name of the government and President’s Office in amnesty relating to Regal.
