Education Bill tabled in parliament

Kathmandu: Controversial School Education Bill has been tabled in parliament.

Minister of Education, Science, and Technology Ashok Rai tabled the bill in the parliamentary meeting. Minister Rai said that the bill attempted to keep teachers away from politics.

The meeting ended after the bill was tabled. The next parliamentary meeting will be held on 3rd October (Ashoj 16) at 1:00 pm.

Teachers from across the nation had gathered up for a Kathmandu-centric protest against the bill at Maitighar Mandala. The demonstration came to an end with a seven-point agreement with teachers and the government.
