Doctors raise voices from streets for safety (Photos)

Kathmandu: Doctors have started their demonstration on the streets. The doctors started their demonstration demanding safety in professional areas in Maitighar on Tuesday.

Doctors started their protest after a fellow doctor was attacked in Manipal Teaching Hospital on Monday. They demanded the guarantee of the safety in the professional area as well as amendment of the acts on the safety of health workers and health institutions in the workplace.

The doctors were moving towards New Baneshwor. A small tussle occurred when the police tried to restrict the doctors. Few doctors were reported to be injured in the demonstration.

Doctors have raised their voices after doctors faced physical assaults in several hospitals in the past few weeks.
