Kathmandu: A clash has occurred between teachers and police in New Baneshwor.

Teachers had marched from Maitighar to New Baneshwor. A clash broke out when police tried to stop the demonstrating teachers from entering the restricted zone. Demonstrating teachers were trying to cross the barricade.

Teachers from across the nation have arrived in Kathmandu. They shut down the schools and arrived in Kathmandu to protest against the school education bill.

The traffic was badly affected due to the demonstration. The vehicular movement passing through Singhadurbar, Maitighar, Thapathali, and New Baneshwor has been affected.

They have warned to continue the demonstration unless the provisions of the bill are amended.
