Bengaluru: Four Nepali have died due to suffocation in Doddabelavangala, Bengaluru, India. All four are found to be of the same family.
The deceased are identified as Pool Sarera (16K years old), Usha Sarera (40), Lakshmi Sarera (50), and Kale Sarera (60 years old). They had recently gone to India to work in a poultry farm.
Mohan, the owner of the farm, had called them but didn’t get a reply. He found them dead in the shed. Bengaluru rural district SP Mallikarjuna Baladandi said that some smoke was still inside the room and the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team had examined the bodies.
The windows of their shed were locked from inside. The FSL team has predicted suffocation as the reason behind the death. The preliminary investigation found that the four people had burned the woods to get rid of the mosquitoes but due to a lack of ventilation, the oxygen decreased and carbon monoxide increased inside the shed. The FSL team has sensed asphyxiation as the reason behind their death.
The autopsy of the dead ones completed in Victoria Hospital, Bengaluru. The bodies had already been handed over to their relatives. The investigation is going on in the case.
