8 crores of microfinance fraud, accused branch manager arrested

Kathmandu: Police have arrested an accused branch manager for 8 crores of fraud in Arambha Chautari Microfinance in Nuwakot.

Police said that the branch manager Biwash Pandey of the Kharanitar wing had been arrested on the suspicion of forgery in the account of the microfinance.

The head office of the microfinance is in Tadi Rural municipality. Police arrested Pandey after a complaint, of withdrawing cash illegally in the name of members of the finance, was filed.

Pandey has been accused of misusing 8 crores 22 lahks 65 thousand 5 hundred 97 rupees 40 paisa.
