ACC Men’s Premier Cup: Nepal bowls against Malaysia

Kathmandu: Nepal is bowling against Malaysia in the first match of Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Men’s Premier Cup.

Nepal is bowling first as Malaysia won the toss and was elected to bat in the match being held at Kirtipur Cricket Stadium. Nepal has the record of winning all of the last five matches against Malaysia.

Earlier on Monday, Nepal’s captain Rohit Poudel expressed the confidence of winning ACC Premier Cup and claimed that there is every possibility of playing with India and Pakistan in the upcoming Asia Cup.

Poudel is hopeful that Nepal has a strong chance of advancing to the Asian Cup, given the success in ICC World Cup Cricket League-2 and the all-out preparation of past 15 days.

Nepal, Oman, Qatar, Malasia and Saudi Arabia are in group ‘A’ of ACC Premier Cup while the group ‘B’ consists of UAE, Hongkong, Kuwait, Singapore and Bahrain. The winner of the cup will get a chance to play in Asia Cup to be held in Pakistan in coming September.

In the other match to be held today under ACC Men’s Premier Cup, Hongkong will face Singapore in Mulpani Stadium.
