Kathmandu: Nepal and India will be competing in the inauguration match of the SAFF U–17 Women’s Championship today.
Nepal and India will face each other in BSSS Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The match will start at 3 pm Nepali time.
The U-15 SAFF Champions Nepal wants to defeat India and start with a win in the tournament.
The second match of the tournament will take place between Bangladesh and Bhutan.
Head Coach of the Nepali football team Bhagwati Rana said that the team is ready for the tournament with aim of defending the title.
The championship will be played in a single round-robin format. The team at the top of the point table will win the trophy.
Nepal, India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, and Russia participated in the championship. Russia is participating for the first time in the championship.
