Sindhuli: The condition of the BP Highway, which was damaged by the flood in the Roshi River and its tributaries like Jhyaple and Lapre on September 27-29 (Asoj 12) last year, remains critical.

The section of the highway from Bhakundebesi in Kavrepalanchok to Nepalthok in Sindhuli is still ruined.

Approximately 12 kilometers of road in this area have been completely damaged, while around 5 kilometers have suffered partial damage.

At present, vehicles are operating through a diversion made at the riverbed in the damaged sections of the main highway. However, considering the geographical condition of the area, it is evident that this diversion will only be usable as long as there is no heavy rainfall.

Instead of working to repair the highway, the government has been imposing restrictions on vehicle movement during nighttime. There appears to be little to no significant progress made toward repairing the damaged highway.
