Kathmandu: Kalina and Diwas first met in their childhood, in the school’s nursing room.
Kalina is resting due to a stomach ache, while Diwas arrives injured after jumping off the school roof with his bicycle. Over the next 30 years, their paths cross repeatedly due to their ‘injuries’, ‘heartbreaking incidents’, and ‘self-destructive tendencies’.
This is a scene from the Nepali adaptation of American playwright Rajiv Joseph’s play “Gruesome Playground Injuries”, titled “Sickroom”, which is based on the unconventional love story of two childhood friends.
